King Solomon's Success and Wealth and Happiness
From his teachings..There's a Roadblock to our life to success, that is our inherent tendency to be lazy. The root cause of laziness as defined by him is: Self-centeredness, conceit (arrogance), ignorance, and irresponsibility -(he combines the last two into a single category - Foolishness)
To deal with laziness, we must know the root.
Self-Centeredness - Every man's way is right on his own eyes...
Seeing things from solely our point of view, will simply act in the manner that is most quickly gratifying to our ego and desires. What cause of action we could take that is in the best interest of everyone.
Conceit (Arrogance) - The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason...
We often think we are smarter than those around, we act without seeking advice from others.
Ignorance and Irresponsibility (Foolishness)- I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
Often result from our ignorance of our long term consequences of our actions. Be educated on the subject before action. Worst is irresponsibility- knowing what you should do, and choosing not to do it.
